Finding the Best Bad Breath Natural Remedy

Today, an assortment of natural remedies have become the “in thing” in the medical world. From colds to cancer prevention, it seems that the rule of thumb has become, “Mother Nature knows best.” But, is there really at least one bad breath natural remedy that doesn’t include any man-made ingredients?

I tell you there is. As a matter of fact, there’s more than one. Here are some of them.

1. Chewing mint leaves
Mint leaves can give you an instant ‘refreshed’ feeling, upon chewing. You can use a variety of mints to freshen up your breath, including peppermint and spearmint. Also, besides chewing on the mint leaves themselves, consider using other forms of mint such as mint gum. But, be sure to use the sugarless variety as tooth decay can result in bad breath.

2. Gargling with warm water and baking soda
What makes baking soda part of a bad breath natural remedy? The baking soda can alter your mouth’s pH level. It works by preventing anaerobic bacteria from causing bad breath through their waste materials.

3. Drinking hot, unsweetened herbal tea
This type of bad breath buster is similar to the method of chewing mint leaves, though it involves a different form. One advantage of the hot tea as a bad breath natural remedy is that it’s not as strong as chewing the leaves themselves.

4. Chewing sunflower seeds and drinking water
Use this method for battling bad breath, after consuming a meal. It helps to remove the unpleasant scents that foods such as onions and garlic, can cause.

5. Eating at least one apple daily
It seems that an apple a day keeps bad breath away. That’s because apples function well in removing the bacteria in your mouth.

6. Consuming foods that are high in zinc
Such foods help to battle the anaerobic bacteria in your mouth, and include:

* beans
* beef
* crabs
* nuts
* oysters
* poultry

Start by trying the ones that are the easiest to do – garling, for example, or eating an apple a day. You’ll be surprised what a little change to your routine can do to help lessen your problem.
